From March 31 to April 30, Vitalii Mocharskyi, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Physics, Ph.D. in Technical Sciences, completed an internship at the Schmalkalden University of Applied Sciences in Germany.
During his internship, Vitalii Mocharskyi delivered physics lectures to students, participated in Techtalks, and organized a student quiz to promote physics and science in general. He also conducted experiments on laser material processing with Professor Christian Rödels, a world-renowned German scientist, laser physicist, and plasma physicist. These experiments aimed to investigate changes in material structure and properties for their future practical application in industry. Vitalii Mocharskyi held meetings with representatives from various German research institutions and industrial enterprises to establish cooperation and conduct joint research.
Notably, with the support of Professor Christian Rödels, he visited the world’s largest free-electron laser, the European XFEL (European X-ray Free Electron Laser), as well as the DESY (Deutsche Elektronen-Synchrotron) electron synchrotron in Hamburg, where cutting-edge fundamental and applied research in physics is conducted.
The internship was carried out under the Erasmus+ program. The experience gained is invaluable for professional growth and will be successfully implemented at TNTU and other Ukrainian higher education institutions.
