Ternopil Ivan Puluj National Technical University (TNTU) participated in the 6th international hackathon, Hack4Edu 2025, which took place from October 27 to October 31 in a hybrid format. The event was dedicated to developing technological solutions in the field of digital education and artificial intelligence, and was organized by ProFuturo, the Pontifical University of Salamanca (Spain), and the Telefónica Chair Network.
The “RASPBERRY TEAM” — representatives of the “RASPBERRY” scientific club at the Department of Computer-Integrated Technologies — took part in the hackathon on behalf of TNTU. The team consisted of students Andrii Ostrovskyi (MP-21) and Roman Pitukh (SNs-31), led by Rostyslav Koroliuk, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Computer-Integrated Technologies.
The participants presented their own development: the “IoT Cheese Chamber” project, which involves creating an intelligent hardware and software system for monitoring and automatically regulating the temperature and humidity during the cheese ripening process.
The goal of the project is to develop a system prototype with Artificial Intelligence (AI) elements that allows real-time control of the microclimate in the ripening chamber, ensuring the stability of technological parameters and the high quality of the final product. The solution has the potential for practical use in small craft cheese dairies, contributing to the digitalization of food technologies.
The participation of the TNTU team in Hack4Edu 2025 served as an example of the successful combination of engineering knowledge, IoT technologies, and Artificial Intelligence, opening new opportunities for student scientific developments and international cooperation.
Hack4Edu is an international platform that brings together universities from all over the world to create innovations in the field of education and future technologies.
