Since 2010, Ternopil Ivan Puluj National Technical University has had a museum dedicated to the life and work of a prominent Ukrainian scientist and public and political figure, whose name the university proudly bears.
In 2020, when the pandemic threatened traditional forms of communication and Internet technologies became the new face of education, TNTU launched a virtual exhibition of the Ivan Puluj Museum, available at puluj-museum.tntu.edu.ua.
From now on it is possible to visit the museum and see its exposition remotely, using a 3D tour available via the Internet, as well as visit the “Puluj virtual laboratory”, where you can see his inventions and even their work. Unique documents and photographs, including the first X-ray transcripts obtained with Puluj’s lamps, became available to a wide audience.
Every year on the occasion of the birthday of prominent Ukrainian scientist, cultural and public figure Ivan Puluj, the university hosts traditional Puluj readings organized by TNTU, Shevchenko Scientific Society and Western Research Center of NAS of Ukraine and MOE of Ukraine.
Thanks to information technology, the Ivan Puluj Digital Museum, whose funds will be expanded and updated, will help preserve the memory and spread knowledge about prominent Ukrainians.
