The July 2022 edition (2022.2.beta) of the Ranking Web of Universities (Webometrics) was published. According to it, Ternopil Ivan Puluj National Technical University is 3730th in the world and 22nd in Ukraine.
The “Webometrics Ranking of World Universities” is an initiative of the Cybermetrics Lab, a research group belonging to the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas, the largest public research body in Spain.
Webometrics is the largest academic ranking of higher education institutions offering every six months an independent, objective, free, open scientific exercise for providing reliable, multidimensional, updated and useful information about the performance of universities from all over the world.
The Ranking Web started in 2004 with the aim to offer full coverage of higher education institutons. Data is collected during the first weeks of January and July for being public at the end of both months.
This edition of Webometrics covered more than 31,000 higher education institutons worlwide. The number of Ukrainian higher education institutons ranked is over 200. The following indicators were used: visibility, transparency (or openness) and excellence (or scholar).
