Congratulations to our TNTU student with Mitacs Globalink Research Internship Award!

We congratulate our 3rd year student from Faculty of computer information systems and software of the Department of computer system and networks, Kokhan Vasyl Volodymyr with Mitacs Globalink Research Internship Award. The student became the best from hundreds of Ukrainian students. He was chosen by Mitacs and Proff. Maria Cutumisu from the University of Alberta, Edmonton. Kokhan Vasyl has been selected by Canadian host faculty project leader due to his background and skills in the research area and the unique contribution he will be making to the research of “Building a game to teach computational thinking”.

The Mitacs Globalink Research Internship is a competitive initiative for international undergraduates from Australia, Brazil, China, France, India, Germany, Mexico, Tunisia, and Ukraine. From May to October of each year, top-ranked applicants participate in a 12-week research internship under the supervision of Canadian university faculty members in a variety of academic disciplines, from science, engineering and mathematics to the humanities and social sciences.
Globalink Research Internship alumni interested in returning to Canada for graduate studies are eligible for the Globalink Graduate Fellowship.

Last year Kohan Vasyl Volodymyr took part in the Erasmus + mobility program at the University of Valencia. It has become a good start and experience for the further winning of the award of the Mitacs program.

We also would like to mention that in 2018 the 4th year TNTU student of the specialty “Technological examination and food safety” of the Department of Food Biotechnology and Chemistry, Olga Matiyash successfully completed Mitacs Globalink Research Internship at the University of Guelph (Ontario), where she worked on a project for the production of banana flour from the waste of supermarkets.

Therefore, we call on talented young people to believe in themselves and their opportunities.
