On May 30th, the traditional event “EU Career Day” took place at the Ternopil Ivan Puluj National Technical University. Each year, this event serves as a platform for communication between students and graduates actively seeking employment and representatives of employer companies, public organizations, and volunteer projects. This year, the event took place in a hybrid format, both online and offline. Within three days, the participants had the opportunity to be engaged in educational training, panel discussions, and a job fair.
The event is organized within the project “Information Support to EU Networks in Ukraine” with the support of the EU Delegation to Ukraine. The Career Day in Ternopil was organized by the Department of Pre-University Training, Vocational Guidance, and Employment Assistance of Ternopil Ivan Puluj National Technical University.
The following companies participated in the event: MAGNETICONE GROUP, Delta Food, TASLIFE, Raiffeisen Bank Aval, TM KERATERM, Baker Tilly, Caritas Ternopil, SAUZ LLC, BULAT PJSC, TERNOPILSTANDARTMETROLOGIYA, YAVARE LLC, ENERGOREMKOMPLEKT LLC, First Private Steam Brewery, AGRIKON LLC, TER-A PJSC, Ternopil Bakery Industry LLC, Ternopil Dairy Plant PJSC, Agroprodservice Yarchivtsi LLC, Architect Engineering and Construction Company, Department of Family, Youth Policy and Child Protection of Ternopil City Council, and others.
During the opening of the event, the participants were greeted by the First Vice-Rector Oleh LYASHUK, who wished them productive work and successful collaboration. Denys CHERNIKOV, the project manager of “Information Support to EU Networks in Ukraine,” emphasized the relevance of the annual event and expressed gratitude to the university for creating a point of contact between youth and the business environment.
The event continued with a panel discussion on professional development and European integration, moderated by Andriy KRUPKA, the head of the Department of Pre-University Training, Vocational Guidance, and Employment Assistance of Ivan Puluj Ternopil National Technical University. The discussion involved participants such as Khrystyna BILINSKA, the head of the Department of Family, Youth Policy and Child Protection of Ternopil City Council; Denys CHERNIKOV, the project manager of “Information Support to EU Networks in Ukraine”; Vasyl GAMRACH, the director of Agroprodservice Yarchivtsi LLC; Oleksandr AGARKOV, a software development engineer at Smart-Trade Technologies (France); Svitozar YANKOVY, the director of Architect Engineering and Construction Company; Vitaliy MOCHARSKY, Ph.D., the head of the International Cooperation Department at Ternopil Ivan Puluj National Technical University. Sophia TURCHYN, an intern at the Research Service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and a third-year student at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, and Denys PETROV, a student at Ternopil Secondary School No. 4 and a member of the NGO “European Youth Parliament of Ukraine,” also participated in the discussion and delivered their presentations.
Moreover, the organizers planned and conducted the traditional Job Fair, during which company representatives informed participants about internship programs, career opportunities, and internships available in their companies.
