Ternopil Ivan Puluj National Technical University ranks high in the international Webometrics ranking.

According to the results of the international university ranking Webometrics (Webometrics Ranking of World’s Universities January 2025 (Edition 2025.1.0 beta v2)), Ternopil Ivan Puluj National Technical University holds the 18th position among 256 Ukrainian higher education institutions represented in this year’s ranking, and the 3919th position globally.

The global Webometrics ranking, published since 2004, analyzes universities based on webometric and bibliometric indicators. These indicators reflect the overall activity of the university in the scientific field and its presence in the digital space.

The ranking takes into account the quality and volume of scientific content, the openness of publications, and the impact of research, using data from authoritative sources such as Google Scholar, Scimago-Scopus, and Majestic. Web data was collected in the first days of January, while bibliometric information covers the period from 2019 to 2023.

Webometrics analyzes universities based on three main parameters:

Visibility — measures the number of external sources that link to the university’s web resources (Majestic).

Transparency / Openness — the number of citations of the university’s scientists according to Google Scholar Profiles.

Excellence — the number of scientific articles published in journals that are among the 10% most cited in Scimago (Scopus) for the period 2019–2023.

Webometrics promotes open access to knowledge by evaluating universities for their global presence, academic impact, and information accessibility. The university’s web presence is a key tool for scientific communication, distance learning, and international cooperation.

The 3919th place in the world is recognition of the quality of scientific work, activity, and impact of TNTU!
