The updated July edition of the world university ranking, Ranking Web of Universities (Webometrics) (July 2023 Edition 2023.2.0), has been published. According to this ranking, Ternopil National Technical University named after Ivan Puluj is ranked 3957th in the world and holds a high position among universities in Ukraine, namely it is the 20th.
Webometrics is one of the largest and most well-known world rankings. Every six months, The Cybermetrics Lab, a research group at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), conducts independent, objective, free, and open scientific research on the performance of universities worldwide.
The July 2023 version of the Webometrics ranking covers over 11,000 universities, including 300 higher education institutions in Ukraine. The Webometrics ranking takes into account parameters such as “Impact,” “Openness,” and “Excellence.”
For the Webometrics ranking, the following parameters are considered: “Impact,” “Openness,” and “Excellence.” Ternopil National Technical University is particularly well-rated in the “Openness” category, which assesses the total citations of researchers according to Google Scholar data.
