V International Scientific and Technical Conference “The Status and Prospects of Food Science and Industry”

On October 10-11, the 5th International Scientific and Technical Conference “The Status and Prospects of Food Science and Industry” was held on the basis of the University. The event was organized by the Department of Food Biotechnology and Chemistry of Ternopil Ivan Puluj National Technical University with the support of Stepan Gzhytskyi National University of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology Lviv (Ukraine), Mogilev State University of Food Technologies (Mogilev, Republic of Belarus), Polish Academy of Health (Rzeszow, Republic of Poland), National Agrarian University (Nitra, Slovakia), National University “Lviv Polytechnic” (Ukraine), Public Organization “Scientific and Technical Society” (Lviv, Ukraine), Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.The conference presented 108 abstracts from Ukraine, the Republic of Belarus and Poland.

The conference was opened by the prof. Rohatynskyi Roman – Vice-Rector for scientific work. There was a welcome speech for the conference participants from Otkydach Ivan – the deputy director of the company “Agroprodservice”, Dobrovolska Svitlana – head of the department of economics and tourism of Vyacheslav Chornovil Galytskyi College, Leshchuk Roman – dean of the faculty of engineering of machines, structures and technologies, Marchenko Mykhailo – director of the institute of biology, chemistry and bioresourses of  Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, Kovalchuk Vitalii – chairman of the companies PJSC “Ternopilskyi Molokozavod”.

On the occasion of International Scientific and Technical Conference “The Status and Prospects of Food Science and Industry” and on the occasion of the Food Industry Workers Day, head of the department of international cooperation and tourism of the Ternopil City Council – Volodymyr Kashytskyi awarded with the gratitude of the City Mayor the staff of the department: M.D. Kukhtyn, V.R. Selskyi, G.V. Karpyk, L.A. Storozh, T.O. Lisovska, N.G. Kopchak, A.T. Lialyk.

During the conference, at the same time there was an exhibition of food products of enterprises and producers: Company “Agroprodservice”, OJSC “Opillya”, PJSC “Molokia”, Company “Fruit – Art”, LLC “LILIAK”, and Private Enterprise “Fainui Pekar”.

V International Scientific and Technical Conference “ The Status and Prospects of Food Science and Industry” was held to highlight the main results of scientific research, achievements, discoveries in food science in recent years in Ukraine and in the world, as well as to present the achievements of leading food producers in our region. At the same time, the conference covered a wide range of issues related to food safety, quality and expertise of food products, standardization, certification of raw materials and food products in the projection of new national standards.
