From 25 February to 1 March 2026, representatives of Ternopil Ivan Puluj National Technical University took part in the Kick-off Meeting of the international project HELIUM – Helix for Education Leadership and Universal Modernisation, implemented under the Erasmus+ programme (CBHE, Strand 1).
The meeting took place in Leuven and marked the official launch of a two-year international cooperation initiative.
During the meeting, partners presented their universities, strategic development priorities and experience in international activities. The consortium agreed on the overall project framework, governance structure, distribution of responsibilities and the implementation timeline. Discussions focused on strengthening internationalisation, developing digital mobility tools, promoting inclusivity, and enhancing cooperation with industry.
The project is coordinated by UC Limburg (UCLL). The consortium brings together universities and organisations from Belgium, Greece, Cyprus, Egypt and Ukraine.
HELIUM represents an important step towards strengthening the institutional capacity of Ukrainian universities through systematic cooperation with European partners. For TNTU, the project provides an opportunity to integrate modern approaches to internationalisation and digital transformation into its strategic development and to reinforce its position within the European Higher Education Area.
