From May 4 to May 8, representatives of Ternopil Ivan Puluj National Technical University participated in the International Week held at University of Huelva within the framework of the Erasmus+ KA171 international mobility project. The university was represented by Professor Tetiana Vitenko, Doctor of Engineering Sciences, Professor of the Food Technologies Equipment Department, and Associate Professor Oksana Sitkar, Ph.D. in Physics and Mathematics, Head of the Physics Department.
Participation in the International Week provided an important opportunity to strengthen international cooperation, exchange professional experience, and enhance partnership relations with European universities. The programme brought together participants from different countries and created a platform for discussing academic mobility, the internationalization of higher education, joint educational initiatives, and new models of inter-university collaboration.
An important component of the visit was a meeting with TNTU students currently studying at the University of Huelva within the Erasmus+ KA171 project. Together with faculty coordinators, the participants discussed the organisation of the educational process, academic support, students’ living and learning conditions, issues related to adaptation, as well as potential challenges that may arise during mobility periods. Such dialogue is extremely important for ensuring timely student support and improving the quality of future academic exchange programmes. Special attention was devoted to cooperation within the PIONEER Alliance, of which TNTU is an associate partner.
Parallel to the International Week, meetings of the Alliance partners were held at the University of Huelva, providing an opportunity for face-to-face discussions on the current state of cooperation and the identification of further directions for collaboration. During the event, a meeting was held with Professor Sylvie Chevrier, Coordinator of the PIONEER Alliance and representative of Gustave Eiffel University, the leading university of the Alliance. The discussion focused on reviewing the outcomes of one year of cooperation between TNTU and the Alliance partners, as well as outlining перспективні areas for future interaction and joint initiatives. An important outcome of this cooperation was the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between TNTU and Gustave Eiffel University.
In addition, the partners jointly prepared an Erasmus+ KA171 project application, and they remain optimistic regarding the results of the competition. Participation in the International Week once again confirmed the importance of direct communication between partners, as personal meetings contribute significantly to aligning common goals, strengthening mutual trust, and generating new ideas for future projects.
