On July 19th, a meeting took place between Mykola Mytnyk, the Rector of Ternopil National Technical University named after Ivan Puluj, and Honorary Consul of the Republic of Lithuania in Ternopil and Ternopil Region, Yaroslav Viznyak.
During the discussion, both parties emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation in the fields of education and culture. Specifically, they discussed the prospects for deepening academic and cultural interaction between TNTU and higher education institutions in Lithuania.
According to Honorary Consul Yaroslav Viznyak, strengthening cooperation between Ternopil University and the intellectual community of Lithuania is of utmost importance, as such collaboration contributes to the development of productive interstate relations. This is particularly relevant at a time when Ukraine is not only defending its independence but European values and European democracy as well.
Rector Mykola Mytnyk admitted, that TNTU is always open to expanding educational, scientific, and cultural cooperation between Ukraine and the Republic of Lithuania. He expressed gratitude for the assistance that Ukraine and TNTU receive from the Republic of Lithuania.
In return, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Lithuania in Ternopil and Ternopil Region, Yaroslav Viznyak, presented a commendation to Rector Mykola Mytnyk for his unwavering support for Ukraine, friendly support for its people, and commitment to peace on Earth. He also commended Rector Mytnyk for his active civic stance.
